Stem cellsare the progenitors of all cells in the body

These are basic undifferentiated cells that, in the event of illness or damage, can multiply by division and differentiate, that is, become any blood cell, organ or tissue

There are two main types of stem cells: hematopoietic, which form all blood cells, as well as mesenchymal stem cells, which have many therapeutic properties, including differentiated into connective tissue cells (bones, blood vessels, cartilage), smooth muscles

We are entrusted with the storage of the most valuable tissue, which can only be collected during childbirth. Therefore, we treat each sample carefully so as to save the life of the child or his family members if necessary

Stem cell sources

Cord blood

The ideal source of stem cells for the treatment of haematologic and and immune diseases, including those previously incurable (leukemia and other types of blood cancer)

If necessary, cord blood stem cells are 100% suitable for a child whose blood was collected during childbirth and it is possible to use these stem cells by its close relatives

Placenta

In addition to biologically active substances that have a regulatory and restorative effect on the human body, it is a rich source of mesenchymal and hematopoietic stem cells

Umbilical cord tissue

Contains mesenchymal stem cells, which are used in regenerative therapy (myocardial infarction, liver cirrhosis) and treatment of diseases caused by autoimmune aggression (diabetes mellitustype 1, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis). They are biological source for growing organs and tissues, and stimulate engraftment during bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplantation

Adipose tissue

Rich and affordable source of mesenchymal stem cells that can turn into cells of bone, cartilage, muscle tissue, blood vessels and heart muscle

Others

Other available sources of mesenchymal stem cell production are less studied: pulp of baby teeth and wisdom teeth. Adult stem cells can be isolated from every tissue. But it is the stem cells of perinatal tissues (cord blood, umbilical cord and placenta) that are more active and divide better, turning into cells needed by the body
